AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly has shared about a theft at his home in Normandy where thieves has stolen special watches and racing helmets amid more.

It is not often that a home of a F1 racing driver is ransacked but it has happened with AlphaTauri’s Gasly, who shared an angry post in his native language on his Instagram account on Monday evening, a day after the Spanish GP.

Gasly has not detailed as to when it happened but stated that his home in Normandy was ransacked by thieves, who stole special watches from BRM and Tag Heuer under his name, along with racing helmets and even clothes and jewelry.

“Some people are really worthless, disrespectful & despicable,” wrote Gasly (translated). “I got robbed and [thieves] ransacked my house in Normandy, stealing serious BRM watches in my name, Tag Heuer [watches], jewelry, clothing, glasses, racing helmets. Please contract me if you see or hear any info. Thank you for sharing please. Thank you.”

Gasly has been on-song on track in the 2020 F1 season with three points finishes to be 14th in the drivers’ championship with 14 points. The performances has been praised by Helmut Marko as well as the Frenchman hopes to fight his way back in Red Bull Racing team.

UPDATE: Gasly has shared a police number for anyone who wish to report about the stolen items as he adds that beyond the financial loss, he is more concerned about the loss of items which he preserved from his younger days.

“Thanks to everyone who shared and for the messages of support,” wrote Gasly in French. “An investigation is open, thank you for contacting the judicial police service for all information at 0232812777. Beyond the important financial aspect, I had a lot of affect for these objects related to my youth. I hope they will be found.”
