This evening at the circuit of Catalunya has taken place the fifth race of the GP2 championship, with Robin Frijns from Hilmer Motorsport finishing first, and followed by Felipe Nasr and Jolyon Palmer.
The race started well for Marcus Ericsson that has remained first. Nasr and Coletti followed him closely. The start was very moved, some drivers have been touched and have been forced to visit the pits. There have also been a few off-tracks due to stuck brakes.
Everything has remained the same until the abandonment of the French driver Berthon due to a collision with the Spanish driver Sergio Canamasas. Before that, James Calado have abandoned as well because of an off-track.
A few minutes after, the pit stops have made things change rapidly, making Kevin Cetton, Venezuelan Johnny Ceccoto and Briton Tom Illman lead the race.
With 10 laps, Dillman did an excellent overtake on Ceccoto placing himself second.
Ceccoto was one of the few drivers who had not yet entered the pit lane, and was doing great laps.
In a little over Ecuador in the race, and Australian Ceccoto Mitch Evans both Arden International team had not gone to see his mechanics were waiting to Box.
With 10 laps for the conclusion, Cecotto was in the pit-lane and Frijins, Palmer and Sam Bird, became the head of the race.
Further down the rest of the drivers were fighting hard to score a few points in the championship.
Coletti and Nasr were not satisfied and accompanied well near the top 3, trying to get a place on the podium.
Nasr and Frijins, Palmer passed. Bird, once again passing this box to leave.
Things have not changed, and no driver has been able to break the dynamics of the first, despite trying.
So, it will not be until tomorrow that you can hear again the cars engines up rolling on the Circuit de Catalunya and performing the second race.
