Welcome to Detroit, double meeting for Indycar after still with good taste of the race in Indianapolis the previous weekend with a very fought victory by Kanaan. A circuit will have two races of 70 laps each. In a frantic weekend marked for better or worse part of the rhythm of the championship, good results here can lead the pilot to have more advantage or otherwise a bad weekend results can sink in the overall standings.
After Indianapolis the overall championship is lead by Andretti with 168 points, followed by Sato with 157, Castroneves 152 and 138 Reay. Hildebrand is not going to be in this double date, poor performance throughout the season has made the pilot is replacing it Briscoe. Conway will be in this double date with Coyne Racing
For this race have been many rumors that pointed to Servia within several teams such as Panther Racing or even Kanaan has achieved new sponsor (the old Servia was sponsoring so we could reach an agreement possible). None of this has been achieved anyway in the circuit Servia will surely find the best option for the rest of the season and the next one.
This meeting will be two qualifying and only a free training, free training was led by Tagliani, followed by Dixon and Newgarden. Session has been marked by several red flags and interrupted by a family of ducks for several minutes, nature things… Qualifying groups are as follows
