Fortec complete their 2018 FR2.0 Eurocup driver line-up

The Daventry based team have announced that they have completed their Formula Eurocup line up with a new partnership together with Arthur Rougier, who will race alongside Raúl Guzmán, Vladimiros Tziortzis and Jordan Cane.


After a dominating season winning the French F4 Championship with 5 victories and 12 podiums, Arthur Rougier got a taste of the 2.0 litre engine in the pre-season testing, where the Frenchman showed his impressive speed. Fortec aim to continue into the new season with Arthur’s successful momentum.

“I am very happy to join Fortec for next season and I am really excited for the season to begin! I think that a great season is coming if we work well with the team. I already tested with Fortec during the winter tests and the feeling with the car was good and the work did with the team as well. So, to drive with Fortec Motorsport in Formula Renault 2.0 for 2018 with a car in the colors of Renault sport academy will be great and I aim to be at the top of the grid during this season!”

Mexican Raúl Guzmán will return to the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Championship in 2018 after uniting with #TeamFortec after a steady 2017 season with R-ace GP, where he secured his best result at Silverstone finishing in the top 5. b had a constructive test in Barcelona with Fortec, showing pace and determination as we look forward to the first round of the Championship at Paul Ricard on the 13th April.

Cypriot Vladimiros Tziortzis has also stepped up to the prestigious FR2.0 Eurocup after competing in the 2017 SMP F4 Championship where he finished 10th overall with a dominating Moscow round with two 3rd’s and a 2nd place finish. The twenty-year-old looks to impress as he steps up to this competitive formula.

“I have been driving since I was 5-years-old and this is a childhood dream come true. I am delighted to be joining Fortec for the 2018 Formula Renault 2.0 Championship. I would like to thank my sponsors, my family and my supporters in Cyprus and in Russia, who have helped me all these years. I am looking forward to the beginning of the championship. I am really excited and can’t wait to drive in some of the most historical Formula 1 circuits.”

Highly rated British single – seater racing driver Jordan Cane completes the Fortec lineup. The 16- year-old from Felpham in West Sussex will advance to the respected Renault 2.0 program after an impressive debut in the BRDC F3 formula last year. While battling with some of the highest regarded British racing drivers Jordan showed great skill and willpower securing 5 top three finishes, 3 of which saw Jordan take the top step of the respected podium.

“We had a lot of offers for next year, but I’m really happy to confirm that I will be racing for Fortec in 2018 in Renault Eurocup, the team did a great job in testing and have shown that we will be able to compete at the front. I have work to do, Fortec have put their faith in me to get results and for that I’m very grateful. It’s a tough series but with the people around me, I’m confident we will get results.”

After past success with established drivers such as Charles Leclerc, Oliver Rowland, Ben Barnicoat and Jake Dennis to name a few in this championship, the Fortec squad are looking forward to a successful 2018.
