Fittipaldi switches to Van Amersfoort for 2024 F2 season

Red Bull junior Enzo Fittipaldi has switched to Van Amersfoort Racing for his second FIA F2 Championship season in 2024.

Heading into his third season in the series, the Brazilian driver will be gearing up for an exciting new chapter racing in black and orange. Enzo, who clinched his first F2 victory and stood on the podium five times last season, is aiming for another successful year as he competes with the new F2 2024 car together with VAR.

“I am very excited to be a part of Van Amersfoort Racing,” says Fittipaldi. “The team and I had a positive first experience working together during the F2 post-season test in Abu Dhabi last week. Right now, I am looking forward to next season, which will be a new challenge for all. Racing in the new 2024 F2 cars will be exciting, and I am confident that the team and I will have a great season together.”

The team principal of Van Amersfoort Racing, Frits van Amersfoort, expresses enthusiasm about Fittipaldi’s arrival, saying, “During the F2 post-season test, we have experienced that Enzo is a great character to work with. He is a great fit for our team, and his experience in F2 will be beneficial as we head into a new era of Formula 2. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the upcoming season together.”

The 2024 FIA Formula 2 season will kick off at the Bahrain International Circuit with pre-season-testing followed by the first round of the championship in the first weekend of March. The 2024 championship consists of 14 rounds, with F2 heading to Qatar for the first time.
