The FIA has shared US GP details regarding circuit changes, DRS zones, track limits & more as Haas and Williams showcase liveries.
After the stretched topic of track limits in F1 Qatar GP, the FIA Race Director’s note has the simple white line to be track limits definition for this weekend’s US GP at the Circuit of the Americas. The track is a mix of tarmac and gravel run-offs.
In terms of the DRS zones, the first’s detection zone is 150m after Turn 10 while activation is 250m after Turn 11. At the same time, the second’s detection zone is 65m after Turn 18 while activation is 80m after Turn 20.
The FIA stewards panel will be led by Felix Holter who will have the support of Andrew Mallalieu, Derek Warwick and Dennis Dean. Moving towards the changes made to the circuit, there are only handful as stated by the note here:
- Reduction of the width of the gravel trap in Turn 2 and realignment of guardrail.
- Resurfacing entry Turn 12 until exit Turn 12.
- Resurfacing from entry Turn 14 until exit Turn 16.
