The FIA has shared the details for first F1 2024 race in Bahrain GP with regards to track limits, DRS zones, stewards and more.

With the new F1 season around the corner to kick-off the year 2024, the FIA has shared its first Race Directors’ note for Bahrain GP, as Niels Wittich remains as the solo head. He has noted of no track changes made since the 2023 race.

The track limits remains to be the white lines, but the FIA has alerted that the entry and exit of Turn 15 will be monitored and if anyone fails to be within the lines, the lap will be deleted and multiple offence will lead to penalties.

“In accordance with the provisions of Article 33.3, the white lines define the track edges. During Qualifying and the Race, each time a driver fails to stay within the track limits, this will result in that lap time being invalidated by the Stewards. Additionally, each time a driver fails to respect track limits at the entry or exit of turn 15, will result in that lap time and the immediately following lap time being invalidated by the Stewards,” it stated.

Moving on to the three DRS zones, the first one’s detection zone is 50m before Turn 1 with activation being 23m after Turn 3 to kick off the lap around Bahrain circuit. The second’s detection zone is 10m before Turn 9, with activation being 50m after Turn 10.

And the third’s detection is 110m before Turn 14, with activation 250m after Turn 15. As for the FIA stewarding panel, Nish Shetty will lead them which consists of Loic Bacquelaine, Derek Warwick and Mazen Al-Hilli.
