FIA sets agenda of SC use in its analysis as final decision set for March

    The FIA has set aside an agenda regarding the use of safety car for its January meet with the outcome to be shared in February and final decision in March.

    With the winter break over and the FIA personnel back in the office, the governing body has provided an update on the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP investigation. As per the announcement of kick-starting a detailed analysis, new President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has done so.

    The detailed analysis has started with an agenda regarding the use of Safety Car being put up for the January 19 meet of the Sporting Advisory Committee. The discussions will be shared with the F1 drivers too as they will be involved in it.

    The outcome of the analysis will be shared with the F1 Commission in February and the final outcome will be made public after being presented in the FIA World Motor Sport Council on March 18, when the 2022 season kicks-off in Bahrain.

    Sulayem as specifically asked the Secretary General Sport and the new Single-Seater Director Peter Bayer to review and optimise the FIA structure with regards to F1 for the 2022 season, as names of Michael Masi and Nikolaz Tombasis is being speculated to be up in the air for the moment.
