The FIA has released the provisional F1 2024 entry list as the Sauber names returns, while AlphaTauri remains as it is.

Starting with the 2024 F1 entry list, the constant from end of last year is the driver list as it is the same set of 20 drivers who ended the season last year and starting this year. There are no rookies joining which would have given a new race number on the grid.

But for next year, there is one big change on the naming front. Alfa Romeo will make way to Stake F1 Kick Sauber after the former’s deal with the Italian manufacturer ended at the end of 2023 season. The Swiss name returns to the grid after a gap of few years.

Interestingly, the much talked about potential change to the name of AlphaTauri hasn’t happened with the name retained as per the current entry list. The name ‘Racing Bull’ was predicted but there is a slight change with the addition of ‘RB’.

The revised name stands as Scuderia AlphaTauri RB where it is not clear if RB stands for Racing Bulls or Red Bull. Their chassis names have changed as well where Sauber is denoted as ‘Kick Sauber’ and AlphaTauri is simply ‘RB’.

Among other changes, Aston Martin already announced dropping Cognizant from its name to keep only Aramco after signing a new deal, whereas Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg’s name is written as ‘Nicolas Hulkenberg’ in a rather interesting change.

The rest of it remains the same seen in 2023. Here’s the provisional F1 2024 entry list:
