The FIA has released the start times for F1 2024 season where three races will be held on Saturday, as Las Vegas remains in the 2023 time slot.

As we get closer to the 2024 F1 season, the FIA has now released the official start times of the races due to come minus the timings of sprint weekends. As known, there will be three races taking place on Saturday in the new season – which is a first.

In fact, the opening two rounds in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be from Thursday to Saturday due to the Ramdan festival, while Las Vegas – like 2023 – remains a Saturday event too, due to the local Government decision.

There is huge changes in the timings as we start the season, with the first one coming in Miami where the grand prix will start 30 minutes later than the 2023 timing. Last year, it started at 15:30 local time, while this year it will start at 16:00 local time.

Another big change is the start timing of Qatar GP, as it will now start three hours later than the 2023 timing. Last year, it started at 17:00 local time, but this year it will start at 20:00. It is likely to adjust with the extreme heat that was seen last year.

The start timing for Las Vegas GP, though, remains the same as in 2023 i.e starting at 22:00 local time, but the timings for FP1, FP2, FP3 and qualifying is yet to be confirmed. The late end was not fancied by everyone in the paddock, but due to the local situation, it is difficult to adjust.

As noted above, the timings of the sprint weekends that in China, Miami, Austria, United States (Austin), Brazil and Qatar, will be shared in due course. Their start times has been revealed, but the timings for practice, qualifying and sprint race is awaited.
