The FIA has fined Honda and Alpine for procedural infringement with regards to the F1 Power Unit Cost Cap breach for 2023.

In its first year of the Power Unit Financial Regulation, the FIA has found infringement on the side of two manufacturers i.e Alpine Racing SAS and Honda Racing Corporation. The former runs its own team, while the latter provides to Red Bull and Visa Cash App RB.

The breach was found in the reporting made by the manufacturers for the financial year 2023. The FIA acknowledges co-operation from both Alpine and Honda in the process, and found that they obtained no undue advantage as a result of the breach.

The ABA with Honda was completed on October 7 of 2024, while Alpine did so on October 11. The FIA noted the procedural breaches that they found with both the power unit manufacturers. The fine for the former was USD 600,000 and latter’s was USD 400,000.
