FIA EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLIES: JUNE 2026

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, held its Extraordinary General Assemblies in Macau today.

H.E. Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA, said: “The decisions approved by our Members here today reflect the continued progress we are making together as a Federation. Through stronger governance, financial discipline and a clear long-term vision, we are building an FIA that is better equipped to support our Members, strengthen our championships, and deliver for motorsport and mobility worldwide.

“These outcomes are the result of collaboration across our global community. As we look ahead, we remain focused on creating new opportunities, increasing participation, advancing innovation, and ensuring the FIA continues to grow as a strong, sustainable and trusted federation for the future.”

2025 Annual Report and Accounts
The FIA Members approved the FIA 2025 Annual Report and Accounts, demonstrating continued transformation across the federation. In FY2025, the FIA delivered an operating profit of €6.7m, representing a 43% increase on prior year, and a major financial turnaround from the €-24m operating loss reported in 2021. This performance reflects stronger operational and financial discipline, and provides a platform for long-term investment across motor sport and mobility. Appointments/Elections to FIA Bodies
Ms Victoria Fernandez Sittenfeld, Costa Rica, was elected by the EGA as a member of the Ethics Committee upon proposal of the World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism (WCAMT).

FIA Members
Definitive Affiliation of Provisionally Affiliated Members
Based on the recommendation of the WCAMT, the EGA approved the definitive affiliation of the Hellenic Automobile & Touring Services Club S.A. (HATSE S.A.) as a Full Member.

Admission of New Members to the FIA 
Based on the recommendation of the WCAMT, the EGA approved the admission of the Bahamas Automobile Club (BAC) as a provisional Member.
