Not many conclusions after an hour and a half of free practice 1, where the teams have focused on testing the hard compound with different amounts of fuel. Both Ferrari have topped the session, and after them Rosberg was 3rd while Hamilton finished 13th. 4th and 7th place for Red Bull, Webber being 0,3s slower than Vettel. Force India is looking good, having finished 5th and 8th, while Button (6th) and the Lotus (9th and 10th) complete the top 10.
Heikki Kovalainen has been back to Formula 1 in this first free practice taking Van der Garde’s seat in Caterham, while Rodolfo González has made his F1 debut in Bianchi’s Marussia.
