Fast Lane Promotion stops the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS program

Ph Roberto Piccinini

Creativity and enthusiasm, alongside a well known professionalism, have always been the pillars on which the activities of Fast Lane Promotion was based. Although these factors continue to animate the activity and the choices of the Italian promoter, Fast Lane Promotion has decided to stop the 2016 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps program focusing its know-how and priorities on the Clio Cup Italia, with the support of Renault Sport Technologies and Renault Italia.

After 15 years of successful history, Fast Lane Promotion’s 2-liter championship, that launched several young talents, takes a break waiting for more favorable condition to continue in the future.

A special thank is due to all those partners that contributed to the success of the series in the past 15 years. A support that granted a motorsport future to several young talents now involved in F1 such as Felipe Massa (winner of the first edition of the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia and Eurocup series), Pastor Maldonado and Kamui Kobayashi, who put their name in the roll of honour of the category, Robert Kubica and more recently Daniil Kvyat, who clinched in 2012 the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS title.
