Rookie Fabio Scherer took his first victory in ADAC F4 on a drying track at Lausitzring, starting P14 and elected dry tyres. Jannes Fittje took second and Mike Ortmann finished third when he was still leading the race with one minute to go.
Unlike the whole week-end, the last race of Motorsport Festival happened just after a heavy rainfall giving drivers the challenge of a drying track. The race started under safety car, which didn’t not prevent Marilyn Niederhauser from spinning in the early stages of the race. As soon as the race went green, pole sitter Leonard Hoogenboom got overtaken for the lead by Mike Ortmann.
The safety car went out again to recover Oliver Soderstrom’s car, the driver having lost control on a wet part of the circuit. At the restart, Joey Mawson managed to get passed Mick Schumacher, the battle between the two tight for the championship before the Van Amersfoort driver had to pit because of a damaged front wing. The winner of the first two races of the week-end eventually spun and gave his third place away to Thomas Preninin and to Fabio Scherer who, thanks to a drying track and slic tyres, was much faster than the rest of the field.
Scherer and Fittje managed to overtake Ortmann in the last lap to have the podium in this order. Schramm, Zendeli, Schumacher, Drugovich, Preining, Van Uitert and Baiz completed top 10.
In the standings, Joey Mawson still leads from Mick Schumacher by no more than three points, Mike David Ortmann is third.
