F1 adds Saudi Arabia’s Aramco in its global portfolio of sponsors with a new deal as it also becomes a title sponsor of Spanish GP, Hungarian GP and US GP.
Saudi Arabia’s Aramco joins DHL, Emirates, Heineken, Pirelli and Rolex to become new Global Partner of F1 from 2020 onward as the leading integrated energy and chemicals company will also be a title sponsor of Spanish GP, Hungarian GP and US GP.
F1 is looking to work alongside Aramco to ‘identify opportunities for the advancement of sustainable fuels, enhanced engine efficiencies and emerging mobility technology’. As the sport heads towards net zero carbon, they hope to work together in achieving the goal.
Apart from the title sponsor deal for selected races, it will have trackside branding in other grand prix as well, like the other partners of F1. “We are delighted to welcome Aramco to the Formula 1 family as a long-term Global Partner as we start our 2020 season.
“We are looking forward to sharing our combined expertise and working with Aramco on
Formula 1 technological innovation and we will benefit hugely from its capabilities and expertise in the fuel and energy sector,” summed up, F1 boss Chase Carey.
At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser added: “We are excited to partner with Formula 1, a strong global sports brand with millions of fans around the world.
“As the world’s largest energy supplier and an innovation leader, we have the ambition to find gamechanging solutions for better-performing engines and cleaner energy. Partnerships like these are important to help us to deliver on our ambitions.”
