The F1 Exhibition is to make its South American debut in March as they head to Buenos Aires in Argentina after trips in Europe and North America.
The award-winning Formula 1 Exhibition will make its South American debut as Buenos Aires is named as the inaugural city in the region to host the critically acclaimed show. It will also be the first stop on a wider South American tour. In partnership with Fenix Entertainment, Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital will become the fifth city to host F1 Exhibition when it opens its doors to the public on 22 March 2025 following record breaking runs in Madrid, Vienna and Toronto, and the London show earning the prestigious “Best Visitor Experience” at The Access All Areas Awards.
Open for a limited run until 1 June 2025, the Buenos Aires edition will feature exclusive contributions from legendary teams, personalities, and iconic South American drivers. Highlights include Formula 1 race cars from various eras, rare artefacts, and never-before-seen video content. Visitors can also step into the driver’s seat with the cutting-edge F1 Fastest Lap Simulators for an unparalleled racing experience.
Visitors begin their journey in Once Upon A Time In Formula 1, which features a mix of previously-unseen photography, historic F1 cars, film, and artefacts that transports fans through some of the sport’s most iconic and defining moments. Design Lab takes visitors into the heart of a Formula 1 factory for a rare glimpse into how F1 teams design and manufacture each season’s new car. Next, visitors will experience Drivers & Duels celebrating the most iconic drivers and legendary races since Formula 1 began in 1950 – 75 years ago this year.
Fallen Heroes shines a light on the many drivers throughout Formula 1’s history who tragically sacrificed their lives in pursuit of success. The following gallery, Survival, covers Romain Grosjean’s horrific 150 mph crash in Bahrain 2020 and his extraordinary escape from the ensuing inferno. The gallery features a spine-tingling display of his HAAS car’s remains, alongside a new, multi-screen video installation featuring unseen interviews and footage of the crash. The show then reaches its high-octane finale in The Pit Wall – a show-stopping cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history like never before.
The Buenos Aires show marks the first pit-stop on a larger multi country South American tour. Historically, the region has formed a huge part of the sport, with many great champions hailing from it, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet and Emmerson Fittipaldi. The Brazilian Grand Prix also remains a favourite for both drivers and fans, with the famous Interlagos circuit serving as the backdrop for the season finale for years. More recently, there has been a resurgence in the sport’s popularity, following the rise of Franco Colapinto and Kick Sauber F1 Team rookie, Gabriel Bortoleto.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said: “As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the importance of acknowledging the sport’s history and heritage is even more poignant. Since the first show in Madrid, F1 Exhibition has been a great success in telling the story of Formula 1 and we are delighted it will make its South American debut in Buenos Aires. There has been a strong resurgence in support from the region and we cannot wait for fans to celebrate the pivotal role the region has played in defining our sport.”
Jonathan Linden, Co-President of Round Room Live and Producer of The Formula 1 Exhibition, said: “We are delighted to announce Buenos Aires as the host city for the South American debut of The Formula 1 Exhibition. As Argentina’s vibrant capital, Buenos Aires boasts a rich Formula 1 heritage, including the storied Argentine Grand Prix and an impressive legacy of 26 Argentinian F1 drivers. With its dynamic blend of sports, culture, and entertainment, Buenos Aires is the perfect choice to launch this exciting new chapter of The Formula 1 Exhibition in South America.”
Sebastián Bulgheroni, Global Chief Commercial Officer, Fenix Entertainment, said: “It is truly a privilege being the promoters of The Formula 1 Exhibition in South America. We are very aware of the passion that Latin Americans feel for motorsports, particularly for Formula 1 and we are excited to give Argentinian fans the opportunity to get closer to it than ever before. We will be starting the South American Tour in Buenos Aires, and then continuing to other countries within the region to satisfy the huge Formula 1 fanbase. Clearly, having such an incredible partnership and this state-of-the-art show is of great value as we continue to position ourselves as the most diversified and internationally expanding Argentine out-of-home entertainment production company.”
