F1 confirmed the signing of Concorde Agreement on the commercial side which kicks in from 2026 season, as was announced ahead of Australian GP.

The Concorde Agreement was one of the big talking points heading into 2025 F1 season, especially after Cadillac’s entry was confirmed to be the 11th team from 2026 onward. The dilution of prize money has been key contention of discussions.

But just few hours before the start of Australian GP – the first event of 2025 – F1 confirmed that all 11 teams have signed the Concorde Agreement for 2026 on the commercial side. It is unclear how much Cadillac has had to pay to secure their rights to be on the grid.

There were several reports referring to an entry fees which was to be divided among the 10 existing teams, but the terms of it is unclear which includes details of the new agreement on the commercial front. The governance side of Concorde Agreement is yet to be signed.

“Formula 1 can confirm that all teams have signed the 2026 Concorde Commercial Agreement, which secures the long-term economic strength of the sport,” a statement from F1 said. “Formula 1 has never been in a stronger position and all stakeholders have seen positive benefits and significant growth.

“We thank all the teams for their engagement during this process to reach the best outcome for the sport. The 2026 Concorde Governance Agreement will be finalised in due course,” it summed up.
