With the first running of F1 2026 done and dusted in Barcelona shakedown, the unofficial lap times is sorted in here along with lap times – some official and some unofficial.

The F1 2026 season has only begun with the first five-day shakedown held in Barcelona, where teams could only run for three days. It was a closed event and so, there was no broadcast and no media was allowed, forcing some to take hillside views to avoid security.

Only 10 teams took part after Williams took the painful decision to sit out and undertake virtual testing. Nine teams got their full three days, while Aston Martin only managed to run for one full day and one hour the other day. The lap times were unofficial from various sources.

As such the compound on which the drivers set their best time was not clear as well, with focus largely on lap count, where some teams provided official numbers and some didn’t. Some handed out lap count of each of their F1 drivers, while some focused on collective numbers.

The best time – which remains unofficial – was from Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton on the final day of running after he set a 1m16. 348s. He was followed by Mercedes’ George Russell (1m16.445s, Day 4) and McLaren’s Lando Norris (1m16.594s, Day 5) in the Top 3.

The rest of the Top 10 saw Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc (1m16.653s, Day 5) in fourth from Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli (1m17.081s, Day 4), McLaren’s Oscar Piastri (1m17.446s, Day 5), Red Bull’s Max Verstappen (1m17.586s, Day 5), Alpine’s Pierre Gasly (1m17.707s, Day 5), Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar (1m18.159s, Day 1) and Haas’ Esteban Ocon (1m18.393s, Day 5) in the Top 10.

On lap count, Mercedes led the way on teams’, drivers’ and manufacturers’ side – even though Williams didn’t run. The lap count from the German manufacturer is official, likewise Ferrari slotted in second on teams’ side, but unofficially Hass’ Esteban Ocon was second on drivers’ side.

The Italian manufacturer was second in the manufacturers’ list (unofficially), with three teams. The Top 3 was rounded by Haas (unofficially) on the teams’ side, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (officially) on drivers’ side and Red Bull-Ford (officially) on manufacturers’ side, with two teams.
