With barely days remaining for the F1 2024 season to get going, FormulaRapida.net has compiled the stats list from the three-day Bahrain test.
The F1 2024 season is now pretty much well upon us after the three day pre-season test in Bahrain ended this week. It has been a well-documented affair with fans seeing the new cars and several new drivers for the first time on TV and F1’s OTT platform.
After the three day test concluded, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz set the fastest time across the three days with a time of 1m29.921s on the C4 compound. He led teammate Charles Leclerc (1m30.322s, C4) and Mercedes’ George Russell (1m30.368s, C4) in the Top 3.
Both Sainz and Leclerc were fastest on Day 2 and Day 3 respectively, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen taking the honours on Day 1. All of the 20 F1 drivers to compete in 2024 had three days under their belt, which saw no major incidents to cut short running.
There were some reliability problems which limited the laps especially for Williams, McLaren, Alpine and Stake F1 Team drivers, who found themselves towards the lower rug of lap count. It was Haas who emerged with the highest number of laps done.
Unsurprisingly, it was Haas’ Kevin Magnussen leading the drivers’ tally after three days of running. Ferrari and Red Bull rounded the Top 3 in lap count, while the driver side saw Ferrari’s Sainz and Visa Cash App RB’s Daniel Ricciardo in the Top 3.
