Mitch Evans has achieved its second victory in the GP2 Series after taking victory in the German Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. Vandoorne was second after leading most of the race. Palmer completed the podium after starting from pole position.

The start was very rough on the second curve have been several hints but an accident in Turn 3 between Lancaster and Markelov, caused the Russian Time RT Russian abandonment of the race and the first safety car of the race.

The safety car three laps later withdrew and the race Vandoorne relaunched again in first position, Rossi went on the attack and suffered a little touch to the front wing that caused the abandonment of the pilot Campos Racing.

They started the pit stops; were the first to enter Leal, Marciello, Pic Menelaus and his car in the Pit Lane. The race leader came in boxes that turn did Evans who went ahead of Vandoorne which became the new race leader failing Trummer stop.
