Aleix Espargaró has been the fastest during free practice 1 of MotoGP at Barcelona-Catalunya circuit for the Catalan GP. Lorenzo finished second after led all the session and Iannone was third.
For a 23th consecutive year, the premier class has started his first free practice session at Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. A circuit, where the pole position isn’t very important, because the Catalan track, offers a good opportunities for overtaking with these bikes.
The heat in Montmeló has been the detonating of the session with fairly high temperatures for June moment. Jorge Lorenzo has been who started leading the session, meanwhile the Honda’s had a unobsrtuctive paper, riding on 5th and 6th place.
At the end of the session the bikers had tried to improve his lap times and this cause some went off from Pol Espargaró and Andrea Iannone at turn 4 and 10, respectively. The local biker, Aleix Espargaró was the only one who beat the Lorenzo’s time with 7 tenths, thanks to his soft rear tyre.
