Espargaró continues his hot streak in the sessions on Friday. The Catalan has made the best time in the two free sessions in Sachsenring disputed today, this time up imposing the champions Marc Márquez and Jorge Lorenzo, who seems to have recovered and have a good pace this weekend. Dani Pedrosa was ninth after a sharp fall.
Espargaró starts in pretty good shape this weekend. As usual this season, Aleix has dominated Friday practices, running as a great rival in the fight for pole tomorrow. In these FP2 the Catalan has set the fastest time in the final moments, just one-tenth better that the time recorded by Marc Marquez recovered from his little fall in FP1. Jorge Lorenzo finished third, showing himself as the main rival Marquez this weekend.
Stefan Bradl has done a great performance scoring the fourth best time, thus beating Alvaro Bautista, also very strong in these free practice, completing the Top 5. Behind the Spanish was Andrea Iannone, Pol Espargaró and Andrea Dovizioso from Ducati. Dani Pedrosa has only been ninth, consequence of a sharp fall at the beginning of the session that left him off from the rest of FP2. Yet he has remained ahead of Valentino Rossi, very discreet in this session because he has not passed the 10th place.
Outside the Top 10 is Bradley Smith, still smarting from a fall in the morning session, followed by Yonny Hernandez, Cal Crutchlow, Scott Redding and Michael Laverty.
The FP3 will take place tomorrow at 09:55 h (GMT).
