The sixth race of the championship at the Nürburgring has been hotly contested, with Ericsson taking the victory, after making a very solid race starting from the first place, and beating his teammate. The current championship leader Colletti has staged a spectacular comeback, starting thirteenth and being able to finish in third place. Second, and completing the podium finished James Calado.
The race has been moved and had an accident at the back of the grid just at the start.This made the safety car came out for five laps. Richelmi, who started from the pole, has lost a position, that has been occupied by teammate Ericsso, with twenty five laps to go.
The team DAMS was the clearly dominant of the race, with both drivers placed on top until they have stopped in the box.
Once all drivers have gone through the Pit Lane, Dilmann was first with a clear advantage over his rivals.
When everyone had gone through the box, the race leader was Ericsson, who has been making bigger his pace over rivals who were: Calado in second position, who has starred a good race winning six places; Frijns, who was third and has not moved from that place; Colleti, in fourth place, he has fixed the bad role from yesterday coming from the thirteenth position to fourth; and fifth, Richelmi, who has not used at all the pole achieved yesterday.
This was the classification only ten minutes before ending. It changed a lot in the last stretch.
Leimer, who followed close behind the fight for third place between Richelmi, Colleti and Frijns, has been able to see in the last corner how Frijns, who had done a very solid career, was being pushed away from the podium: Colleti was overtaking him. Stefano accompanied Ericsson and Calado on the podium. Frijns was also overtaken by Leimer and Richelmi, that made him fall to sixth place.
