Envision sticks with green & blue livery for 2025 Formula E season

Envision Racing sticks with its green and blue livery for 2025 FIA Formula E Championship, as the new car is revealed.

Envision Racing has unveiled its brand new GEN3 Evo racing car for Season 11. Sticking to the team’s now-familiar green and blue colour scheme, the eye-catching livery builds on the striking look that has become renowned to fans over the past three seasons – updating and refining key elements to adapt to the sleeker lines of the all-new Jaguar I Type 7.

Developed by specialists from Formula E and the FIA, the new GEN3 Evo marks a significant leap in electric racing technology, All-wheel drive technology and acceleration that is 36% faster than the GEN3 car – reaching 0-60mph in 1.82 seconds which is 30% faster than a current F1 car. The car also features a new body kit which is designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic, delivering closer wheel-to-wheel racing.

All-wheel drive will be available for the first time ever in Formula E history. It will be available during qualifying duels, race starts, and throughout Attack Mode. Added AWD maximises acceleration and control, elevating the thrill of critical race moments and intensifying driver rivalries. It also will enhance both performance and strategy, providing more exciting racing for drivers and fans alike.

On the car, Climate Stripes remain in a prominent position on the rear wing of the Green Machine: highlighting Envision Racing’s commitment to raising awareness around climate change topics through an ongoing partnership with Professor Ed Hawkins. The partnership – which was first launched among world leaders at COP28 in 2023 – will continue to explore new ways to promote key climate change discussion points over the coming year.

Sylvain Filippi, Managing Director & CTO of Envision Racing, said: “We are highly motivated for the start of Season 11, which is fast approaching. The new GEN3 Evo car unlocks so much potential, and will no doubt produce even more thrilling and close racing.”

Sebastien Buemi said: “After my first taste driving the GEN3 Evo, I’m very impressed with the all-wheel drive, and think it will add another new exciting element to Formula E racing. The new bodywork looks great, and even better in our green livery, and I am looking forward to getting out on track to kick start Season 11.”

Robin Frijns said: “The new GEN3 Evo should produce some of the most exciting and close racing we have ever had in Formula E. From the testing we’ve done so far, I really enjoy driving the new car and hope we can have a strong year and challenge for trophies.”

Envision Racing, teams’ world champions in Season 9, are one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport, having won more championship points and achieved more podium finishes than any other team in Formula E history. In 2023 they claimed five podium results, finishing in the top three in three of the final four races of the season.

The new car is currently scheduled to be on track for the first time next week in Valencia, as all teams complete pre-season testing from November 4-7 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. Season 11 gets underway in December, with Sao Paulo the host city ahead of a campaign that will see racing in cities including Miami, Tokyo, Shanghai, Monaco and London.
