Experience the World of DTM: from 30th November to 08th December, the most popular international touring-car series will provide the Essen Motor Show visitors special insight. At the 1200 square metre DTM stand in hall 3, the fans are taken right to a racetrack. Between DTM cars and the original DTM podium, they even can act as real racers or mechanics and take a glance behind the curtains. And the big special exhibition ’30 Years DTM’ with many cars from the series’ history will complete the perfect DTM feeling.
The first eye catcher at the DTM booth is the winner car of DTM Champion Mike Rockenfeller whose Audi RS 5 DTM is accompanied by Bruno Spengler’s BMW M3 DTM and the DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé of Christian Vietoris. In an original garage, the motor-racing enthusiasts can take a look at the Audi RS 5 DTM of Jamie Green and a real DTM carbon-fibre monocoque and with a little luck, they even can win a guided garage tour.
Meanwhile, those who prefer to get involved can change the wheels on Roberto Merhi’s DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé. The fastest three-member teams will take part in a raffle for a tyre set of DTM partner Hankook but the other entrants also can win great prizes.
Feel like a racing driver – here, the BMW race simulator in Martin Tomczyk’s M3 DTM car livery invites those interested to go out on the track. And the guests also can complete fast laps in one of the 12 race seats available for the new PC game
’DTM Experience’. The driver who sets the fastest lap in the mode ’Time Attack’, during the Motor Show, even will win a €370 race seat. And those who love to battle it out with other visitors can do so in the multi-player mode. In a virtual race they will compete against real opponents. Furthermore, all the DTM Experience competitors can win other attractive DTM prizes.
On 30th November, the three DTM aces Mattias Ekström (Audi), Marco Wittmann (BMW) and Daniel Juncadella (Mercedes-Benz) also will have to prove their skills in the DTM Experience. Following a Q&A session at 11:00hrs CET (10:00hrs BT), they will compete against the fastest fans who qualified for this once-in-a-lifetime experience as winners of the online competitions.
After the race, Mattias Ekström, Marco Wittmann and Daniel Juncadella will be available for an autograph session – and for a second at 15:00hrs. On Sunday, (01st December, 12:00hrs and 15:00hrs) they will be replaced by Adrien Tambay (Audi), Dirk Werner (BMW) and Roberto Merhi (Mercedes-Benz). On the Saturday of the second Motor Show weekend (07th December, 12:00hrs and 15:00hrs) Jamie Green (Audi) and Christian Vietoris (Mercedes-Benz) are going to sign autographs for the fans and on Sunday (08th December), Filipe Albuquerque (Audi) and Christian Vietoris (Mercedes-Benz) will do the same. Meanwhile, the grid girls also are available for autograph sessions and photo shoots. For those who already want to purchase tickets for the 2014 DTM season, the Essen Motor Show also represents the perfect destination. Even before the official start of the advance booking, the fans in Essen can purchase vouchers for selected races of the 2014 season.
