Lando Norris has taken the pole positions for Formula Renault 2.0 NEC at Nürburgring. The Briton led a one-two for Josef Kaufmann Racing in qualifying one, while the team set a one-two-three in qualifying 2.
In the first qualifying session Lando Norris (Josef Kaufmann Racing) set the pole position with a lap time of 1:55.685 seconds, been three tenths faster than his team mate Robert Shwartzman.
Third was a driver who continues surprising, Sacha Fenestraz (Tech 1 Racing), while Max Defourny (R-ace GP) was “only” fourth, ahead of Jehan Daruvala (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and Dorian Boccolacci (Tech 1 Racing).
In the second session, Norris set the pole improving his prior pole position lap by 6 tenths (1:54.833), which let him lead a Josef Kaufmann Racing one-two-three with Daruvala second, and Shwartzman third.
Defourny finished once again on fourth, ahead of the Tech 1 Racing’s of Sacha Fenestraz and Hugo de Sadeleer, while the rookie Marcus Armstrong (R-ace GP) set an incredible seventh position.
