MOTORLAND ARAGÓN – R-ACE GP ART Junior Team Max Defourny will start from first grid position for both of today’s races. Belgian driver got over Norris (Josef Kaufmann Racing), the fastest in group A, while Boccolacci (Tech 1 Racing) will start from third position.
2.0 cars got to the track this morning in Motorland Aragón. Both groups found a yet cold tarmac and the usage of group A made the B into the fight for the pole, where Defourny (R-ACE GP ART Junior Team) made into both of them.
Group A was dominated by Lando Norris (Josef Kaufmann Racing). British driver got to the table when not much drivers earned a time and Perullo (Technorace) was in top. Quickly he earned 8 tenths and stayed on track to defend the position. Troitskiy (Fortec Motorsports) was the one who most challenged the british, as was unable to set a competitive time in third sector while the russian was good at it.
After a earning better times, when 3 minutes were to go Norris set the definitive lap. Troitskiy‘s time became insufficient and Aubry (Tech 1 Racing) got over him. With chequered flag Scott (AVF) made a really fast lap to climb to third position in timetable. This also made him into the fourth position in grid for the second race, as he has a really good second best time.
Battle for lead in Group B was in between Boccolacci (Tech 1 Racing) and who made the best time of yesterday, Max Defourny. Belgian quickly lowered yesterday’s time and so did with Norris‘ time, starting the battle for the pole position.
With Daruvala (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and eventually Baptista (Fortec Motorsports) half a second away from the lead, battle was just for Defourny and Boccolacci, with the second watching how first was setting best absolute sectors continuously. When just a minute was left, a 1:55.1 from the belgian closed the fight for the pole, with a far Boccolacci (four tenths away) who ensured starting from second row of the grid.
Classification is still open as two investigations for track limits are open for Falchero (R-ACE GP ART Junior Team) and Fenestraz (Tech 1 Racing).
