Dani Pedrosa takes his second win of the season in the Malaysian Grand Prix in a dominant race. Lorenzo finished second and cut the gap on Rossi who finished third after push Marquez out of the track.
After a dominant weekend in the practice sessions and Qualifying, Dani Pedrosa wins his second grand prix of the season at Malaysia Shell Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit. The driver of Repsol Honda Team have now 5 victories at Sepang, after has finished in front of Lorenzo who is now 7 points behind Rossi who finished third after a controversial contact with Márquez at turn 14 in Lap 6, that made Márquez retire.
Already in the start we saw that this race was going to be an important one. Pedrosa maintained the top place in front of Ducati who later where overtook by Lorenzo and Rossi who had a poor start like Márquez.
The reigning world champion had a better feels today with hotter conditions and quickly started a great fight with Rossi, overtaking him everywhere in every time. Of course they lose a lot of time and this made Rossi upset and kick Márquez out, who crashed and had to retire. Later after the race, Rossi kept the podium position but he received a penalty for next and final season Grand Prix at Valencia. The Italian will start last in the grid for the season finale.
Andrea Dovizioso crashed too when he was battling with Cal Crutchlow for fourth place. As Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales put all they had in a Suzuki ECSTAR intern battle. Finally was Espargaró who finished seventh.
In Moto2, Johann Zarco made another masterclass of great racing and wins another race in front of polesitter Tom Luthi and Jonas Folger.
In Moto3, Danny Kent lost another chance to win the title after the victory of Miguel Oliveira, in front of Brad Binder and Jorge Navarro. Kent only managed to finish seventh and now have 24 points with Oliveira.
Next and final Grand Prix will be held at València in 2 weeks’ time, with Moto3 and MotoGP battles already open.
