Arrow McLaren adds Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist for the 2027 IndyCar season

Arrow McLaren has announced a significant change in its lineup for the 2027 IndyCar season, with the addition of two prominent names: six-time series champion Scott Dixon and the winner of the latest Indianapolis 500, Felix Rosenqvist. Both drivers have signed multi-year agreements with the team.

This exceptional duo will join Pato O’Ward, thus completing the three-car lineup for the full season. Additionally, 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay will return to the competition seat in May 2027 to drive a fourth entry in the 111th edition of the famous race.

Tony Kanaan, the team director, expressed his excitement about this new addition. He commented that “it’s not an easy decision, but when you have the opportunity to add drivers of this caliber, it’s a serious moment for the team.” Kanaan added that the combination of talent between Dixon, Rosenqvist, and O’Ward should make the team a real threat in the competition.

Powerful Lineup

With three winners of the Indianapolis 500 and one of the best competitors on oval circuits, Arrow McLaren reaffirms its aspiration to conquer the prestigious Triple Crown of Motorsport, which includes victories in the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Monaco Grand Prix.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, highlighted that the team has shown great momentum, and the lineup of Pato, Scott, Felix, and Ryan will strengthen every aspect of its program, aiming to win both the championship and the Indianapolis 500.

Scott Dixon: An IndyCar Legend

Dixon, with an impressive career, is considered one of the most decorated drivers in automotive history. With six IndyCar titles and 59 victories in the series, he joins Arrow McLaren to continue building on a significant legacy.

Felix Rosenqvist, a veteran of the team between 2021 and 2023, has just won this year’s Indy 500 with a spectacular finish. With this new chapter, he hopes to achieve great success alongside Dixon and O’Ward.

Ryan Hunter-Reay: A Veteran Presence

Hunter-Reay, who was recently appointed sports director of Arrow McLaren, brings immense experience to his return to the cockpit. With 296 races and an IndyCar championship title, his goal is to win the Indianapolis 500 again.

Only the car numbers for the 2027 season remain to be determined, which will be announced soon.
