Lucas Di Grassi has win the second ePrix of the season in Putrajaya where hot conditions affected the performance of cars today, but Di Grassi managed well to win in front of Sam Bird and Robin Frijns.

The races started without Sarrazin in the grid who had some mechanical issue. At the start, Buemi kept the lead in front of Duval and Da Costa. Heidfeld and Vergne had a contact at turn 1 which caused the retirement of the Frenchman.
Robin Frijns and Sam Bird had a good starts, from eight to sixth and from fourteen to ten, respectively. The driver from DS Virgin Racing who want here last year attacked Senna for 9th place before the safety car period, caused by Oliver Turvey who crashed at turn 5.
After the safety car, Buemi kept the lead as his team mate in Renault e.dams, Nico Prost overtook Da Costa for third place. Both Renault cars change their cars at lap 15 after Sébastien Buemi problems that made him lose the leadership of the race.
Three laps later the leaders of the race made his pit stop, which the biggest loser was Duval who saw how Da Costa and Di Grassi pass him in the pit lane. After all pit stops, Prost took the lead of the race in front of Di Grassi, Da Costa, Duval, D’Ambrossio, Frijns, Heidfeld, Bird, Buemi and Abt.
Sarrazin comeback from last place in the start to 11th at lap 20 but the action was going to come with a lot of maneuvers. Sam Bird was also in his particular comeback overtaking Nick Heidfeld for seventh. Heidfeld then gave a drive through penalty for pit lane time.
Up in front, Prost lose the lead of the race with 10 laps remaining after being pass by Di Grassi who lead until the end.
The battle for second place was a big one, Da Costa with 9 laps to go took this place after overtake Prost, but the Team Aguri driver had a lot of temperature problems and lose the top 5 positions. So, it was Duval who then pass Prost for second place. Duval crashed into the wall and had to retire then, when D’Ambrossio take that place. But he had to retire for the same problem in the last lap.
That let Sam Bird finish on second place for the first podium of the season, as Robin Frijns finished third taking his first ever podium in Formula E. Di Grassi with today’s victory is now first in the standing with 8 points ahead of Buemi who set the fastest lap of the race. Bird is third in the standings 19 points behind Audi driver. Heidfeld is fourth 26 points behind as Frijns is the best rookie in the standings, 27 points behind Di Grassi.
Completes the point’s positions: Sarrazin, Senna, Da Costa, Abt, Piquet, Heidfeld and Prost.
Next Formula E ePrix will be held on December 19 in Punta del Este, Uruguay, for the third round of the season.
