The Mercedes German driver has set the fastest time followed by Jenson Button (McLaren) and Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari).
Fourth and last day of the first week of pre-season testing in the Bahrain International Circuit. Nico Rosberg has finished on top with a 1:33.283, a time which is very close to those set in 2013. Moreover, despite causing two red flags and having to finish their session 1 hour before the end, Mercedes has been the team who has completed more laps (89).
Jenson Button has been second, almost 2 seconds behind Rosberg and with 66 laps done. Räikkönen has been third and with 81 laps done he’s been able to compensate the problems Ferrari had yesterday with telemetry. When there were 5 minutes left, Kimi hit the wall and the session was then finished for everybody.
It was the first day as Williams test driver for Felipe Nasr and the brazilian has set the fourth fastest time after 86 laps. Maldonado has been fifth with almost 60 laps completed.
The other drivers have had several problems and have not been able to do many laps today. Only more 4 days of testing next week and teams will have to be ready for the Australian GP in March.
