The renowned former Formula 1 driver, David Coulthard, has shared details about his extraordinary vehicle collection, which includes not only various Formula 1 cars but also his first kart.

In a recent appearance on the podcast Cars & Money, Coulthard explained that he keeps his first kart, dated from 1982, along with the last one from 1988. Additionally, his stock includes the Formula Ford 1600 car from 1989, a Formula 3 vehicle from 1991, and a Formula 3000 from 1992.

The Scottish driver commented that his father had a clear belief: he thought Coulthard would make it to Formula 1. “So he kept my first kart from 1982 and the last one from 1988,” he said, highlighting the emotional significance of these vehicles in his career.

Besides the karts, his collection includes several Formula 1 cars, such as a Williams from 1995, a McLaren from 1996, and several units from Red Bull, as well as a DTM vehicle and a set of relevant memorabilia from his career.

After his time in Formula 1, during which he competed from 1994 to 2008 and secured 13 victories in 246 races, Coulthard has transitioned to television as a commentator. He began his broadcasting career at BBC in 2008 and currently collaborates with Channel 4.

In recent years, he has also launched a podcast titled Formula For Success, which he co-hosts with former driver Eddie Jordan, and has recently teamed up with other industry experts on the show Up To Speed.
