Amaury Cordeel will replace Christian Mansell at Rodin Motorsport for 2025 FIA F2 season, after the Australian pulled out at last minute.
Rodin Motorsport can confirm that Belgian racer Amaury Cordeel will join the team for the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season, partnering with previously announced Alex Dunne. Cordeel made his debut in the series in 2022 and brings a wealth of experience in the single-seater ladder to the team. The 22-year-old made his racing debut in 2017, competing in a dual campaign across the French and UAE F4 Championships.
Unlike many of his competitors, Cordeel never karted professionally but showed his promise, winning the 2018 Spanish F4 title in his second competitive racing season. His 2018 season also included stints in the ADAC and SMP F4 Championships. Climbing the junior ladder, Cordeel spent 2019 in Asian F3 and Formula Renault before taking to FIA Formula 3 in 2021.
On joining the team, Cordeel said, “I’m delighted to be back competing in the FIA Formula 2 World Championship with Rodin Motorsport. I’m very much looking forward to working with the team to maximise our potential and achieve some strong results together.”
Rodin Motorsport Sporting Director and F2 Team Manager Benn Huntingford said, “We’re very pleased to welcome Amaury into the team for the 2025 season. We have a lot to learn about each other quickly, having missed pre-season testing, but we’re looking forward to taking advantage of his experience and knowledge of the current F2 car and all that he has learned from his time in the series so far.
“He is a great addition to the team and we look forward to working with him this season.” Formula 2 kicks off during the opening weekend of the F1 season in Australia on March 14th.
