Cetilar Performance Karting unveiled in Sarno

Cetilar Performance, the new scouting programme supported by some of the most famous Italian brands in the motorsport, has been oficially launched last week in Sarno at Naples’ International Circuit.

The programme has been unveiled at the Kart Republic hospitality during the last round of WSK Super Master Series and is supported by Cetilar Racing, the all-Italian squad founded by racing driver Roberto Lacorte who attended the event together with Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi. The team will enter this year for the third time the 24H Le Mans as well as compete next May in the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Monza, before making its debut in the FIA WEC 2019/2020 with a Dallara LMP2 Prototype car.

The Varano de’ Melegari Manufacturer, a made in Italy excellence in the world, partners Cetilar Racing. With them are Formula Medicine, the well known Professional Driver Training centre led by Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli, Freem (company of racing accessories and clothing), talent scout Dino Chiesa’s Kart Republic (with which Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg started their career), Devid De Luchi’s Team Driver, Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth and WSK Promotion.

Cetilar Performance philosophy aims to valorize and share the experience in motor racing. The goal is to support through the Italian excellences the drivers’ growth under the human and technical aspects. The first rule is to take care of a 360 degrees training, privileging discipline, responsibility, spirit of self-sacrifice and looking constantly for limit.

To build the young drivers’ personality, the selected drivers will take part in some events. They will visit the Dallara Headquarter, testing the professional simulator and working with technicians and engineers. The drivers could also learn how Freem realize the suites, using the datas and a new futuristic technology. Last but not least they will attend the build of a kart at the Kart Republic factory. A Formula Medicine staff will follow the drivers at the circuits, taking care about their mental and physical training with three complete sessions at Viareggio, one of the referral centre for top drivers coming from all over the world.

Three drivers have been selected for Cetilar Performance 2019 programme, under the “Ala Blu” squad: Joel Bergström, Sebastiano Pavam and Allio Spima. Pavan and Bergström, both 11 year old, race in the Mini with Devid De Luchi’s Team Driver, a brand linked to Kart Republic of Dino Chiesa. The first one is a Padova-based driver, while Bergström is from Sweden but lives in Salò, Italy. They were front-runners last year in the X30 Championship and WSK Final Cup the Bergström finished third in the Mini. Class 2016, the Sicily-based Spina races in the OK-J category for Kart Republic.
