Last September 19, Johanny Cecotto Jr announced his retirement from Motorsports world at age of 26, due to lack of budget.

Son of former formula 1 driver and motorcycle champion, Johanny Ceccotto, started in this world 10 years ago at Formula BMW ADAC, then before his rookie season at GP2 Series in 2009, compete on Formula Renault 2.0 NEC and German F3. He also raced in the disappeared Inernational Formula Master.

Remembered as GP2 Series race winner, he is the driver who has compete in more races in the series, a total of 112, which he took 3 pole position, and 4 wins.
