The Catalans Maverick Viñales, Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa have been the fastest in the first practice session of MotoGP for the Grand Prix of Qatar.
Today, Roses’s rider, Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), has rode incredibly fast with a 1.54.316, six tenths faster than the second classified, present World Champion Marc Márquez with his Honda.
Viñales is still favourite for this weekend, although Honda, with Márquez ending second and Dani Pedrosa third, have shown that they can compete. Jorge Lorenzo also had good feelings, finishing ahead of his teammate in fifth place with the Ducati.
Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) has finished fourth. Loris Baz (Reale Avintia Racing) has surprisingly finished sixth, thus becoming the second best Ducati.
Top10 was completed by: Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda), Johan Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3), Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini).
