Prema Powerteam is proud to announce Nick Cassidy for the two rounds of the FIA F.3 European Championship at Portimao and at the Nürburgring. The 21-year-old racer from New Zealand is currently leading the Japanese F.3 Championship and has scored a brilliant third place last year at Macau. He will drive the Mercedes-powered Dallara previously campaigned by Brandon Maisano and will partner Jake Dennis, Felix Rosenqvist and Lance Stroll.
Cassidy started his single-seater career in 2010 and built a valuable experience in New Zeleand Formula Ford (2nd as a rookie), F.Abarth Italia, Eurocup Renault 2.0, F.Toyota New Zealand (a series he won in 2012 and 2013) and European F.3. He will not line-up in the series for the first time as he entered 12 races between 2012 and 2013.
René Rosin – Team Manager
“I am delighted to rely on Cassidy, a very quick and consistent driver who has not yet had the chance to show his real value at European level. I wish that, driving with Prema at Portimao, where two days of testing will be held before the race, and at Nurburgring, Nick will be able to score the results he deserves”.

“Firstly I would like to thank Prema Powerteam for this opportunity, one that I am really looking forward to. With their knowledge I am looking to learn as much as possible, to develop myself, with the aim of good results in these two race meetings. I am sure there will be a few little differences to racing in Japan, but I feel prepared, and am looking forward to the challenge.”
