Cadillac signs Ricky Taylor and Antonio Félix da Costa for 2027 in the WEC

Cadillac has announced two prominent additions to its lineup for the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2027. Ricky Taylor and Antonio Félix da Costa join the Jota team, replacing Sebastien Bourdais and Alex Lynn, who will leave the team at the end of the season next month during the race in Monza.

The current drivers Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens will continue with the team, although the details of the alignments for the two Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh vehicles have yet to be confirmed. The Jota team director, Sam Hignett, expressed his excitement about the new additions, highlighting the experience and character of Taylor and da Costa.

Ricky Taylor, 37, and a two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona, already has experience with the Cadillac LMDh prototype, having competed in the IMSA SportsCar Championship since 2025. He has been associated with the WEC since he debuted with Jota at the Lone Star Le Mans when he substituted for Lynn, who was incapacitated.

In Taylor’s words, he is grateful for the opportunity to compete globally with a successful team and hopes to combine his racing with IMSA in the future. On the other hand, Antonio Félix da Costa returns to Jota after an absence from Hypercar between 2024 and 2025 and a season with Alpine in 2026. He has shown strong commitment to the team, with which he won the LMP2 title in 2022.

With these additions, Jota aims to strengthen its position in the competition, with the goal of achieving victories and titles in the upcoming season. The departure of Bourdais and Lynn opens new opportunities for the team, which hopes to continue competing at the highest level.
