Cadillac has officially announced the addition of Ricky Taylor and António Félix da Costa to its WEC team with Jota for the 2027 season. Both drivers will replace Sébastien Bourdais and Alex Lynn, who will leave the team after the Monza race that will close the season.
The drivers Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens will remain with the team next year, although the exact lineup of the two Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh vehicles has yet to be revealed.
Sam Hignett, director of the Jota team, expressed his enthusiasm: ‘We are very excited about the driver lineup for 2027. Antonio and Ricky are highly talented drivers who already know the team and understand our philosophy. Their experience and team spirit will be fundamental to achieving great results.’
Ricky Taylor, a veteran racer, has already competed with the Cadillac LMDh prototype since 2025 in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Additionally, he will combine his new responsibility with Jota with another season in IMSA.
‘I feel very honored to join Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for the 2027 season,’ Taylor commented. ‘Racing full-time in a World Championship is an opportunity I have never had before, and I am excited about the challenge of contributing to the team’s successful record.’
On the other hand, Félix da Costa returns to Jota after a forced break from Hypercar competitions and a season with Alpine. The Portuguese driver has a close relationship with the team, with whom he won the LMP2 title in 2022.
‘Returning to Jota is very special for me. I have incredible memories with this team, and I still have many friends here. I am ready to take on this new challenge with the goal of fighting for wins and championships,’ da Costa declared.
This restructuring is accompanied by significant changes, as Bourdais and Lynn will leave the team at the end of the season, with Lynn signing for the McLaren Hypercar team.
Bourdais, with a long history of success in the sport, has yet to define his future after the end of his relationship with Cadillac, with an eye on achieving his first victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
