Sebastien Buemi will not start from pole position for this afternoon’s Long Beach ePrix after his e.dams-Renault was adjudged to have exceeded its power usage.
The decision means that Daniel Abt will start from the front of a Formula E grid for the first time. The Audi Sport ABT driver will be joined on the front row by championship leader Nicolas Prost (e.dams-Renault).
Buemi is set to start from 10th on the grid alongside Venturi’s Stephane Sarrazin and ahead of Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird.
