Sébastien Buemi gets the first pole position for 2015-2016 FIA Formula E season at Beijing ePrix. The Swiss driver led a Renault e.dams one-two with Nico Prost second, as Nick Heidfeld completes top3.

This weekend started with the very bad news from Trulli Raicng who had customs problems and had to announce his non-contest to the first round of Formula E.

And prior to Qualifying practice, the non-qualifying practice of this morning was a leadership of Sébastien Buemi and Nico Prost (Renault e.dams) in the first practice, as Lucas Di Grassi (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport) was the fastest in second practice.

The session it started, with Daniel Abt (Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport) as the fastest in Group 1, but his time was improved by all the drivers of Group 2, with Nico Prost setting the fastest time in front of Mahnidra Racing of Nick Heidfeld and Lucas di Grassi.

But it was Group 3 who set the fastest laps of the day with Sébastien Buemi on top, ahead of Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Virgin). They improved the lap of Nico Prost, Heidfeld and Di Grassi who finally get the access to super pole, due to the non-improving laps from Group 4.

In super pole, the order didn’t change very much, but Jean-Éric Vergne lock up at turn 1, made him down to fifth and let Renault e.dams to achieve the first one-two in qualifying this season.
