Buemi beats Vergne by 0.006 for Paris ePrix pole

Sébastien Buemi has taken his second straight pole position in Formula E for Paris ePrix. The champion beat Vergne by 0.006 seconds in Super Pole. “Pechito” López will start third.

The Renault e.dams driver set a lap time of 1:02.319 been only 0.006 seconds quicker than former Formula 1 driver, Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah). In third position finished José Maria López (DS Virgin) while Oliver Turvey (NEXTEV NIO) and Esteban Gutiérrez (Techeetah) completed the super pole.

The Mahindra’s of Nick Heidfeld and Felix Rosenqvist finished just in the doors of Super pole knockout, while Robin Frijns (Andretti Autosport) and Mitch Evans (Jaguar Racing) followed them. Completing the top 10 was Nicolas Prost (Renaul e.dams).

It was interesting the eleventh position of Mike Conway (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) who is back in the series replacing Loic Duval who is racing in DTM this weekend. Tom Dillmann (Venturi Racing) is also replacing another driver who is in DTM this weekend, Mario Engel.
