Following the result of GP3 Race 2 in Budapest, three drivers have been penalised.
Firstly, Koiranen GP’s Jimmy Eriksson who finished in third place has been issued with a five second time penalty for leaving the track at turns 6-7 and gaining an advantage over Luca Ghiotto. This time penalty has been added to his elapsed race time, thus dropping him from third place to sixth.
Secondly Arden International’s Aleksander Bosak has been served a ten second time penalty for causing a collision with Trident’s Artur Janosz. The stewards consider the Polish driver missed the braking point and made contact with his fellow countryman.
Thirdly, Campos Racing’s Samin Gomez has been issued with a five place grid penalty for causing a collision with Carlin’s Jann Mardenborough during the safety car procedure. In the event that this penalty cannot be taken in full at the next race, the #25 car will have to start from the pitlane.
