Lando Norris remained on top in FP2 of F1 British GP from teammate Oscar Piastri, as Sergio Perez ended up third.
The overcast conditions continued in FP2 of F1 British GP especially in the early part, as rain did hit the Silverstone in the last five minutes of the running. Some of the drivers did venture out on the intermediate compound for practice start.
It was McLaren 1-2 eventually, with Lando Norris (1m26.549s) remaining on top in FP2 of F1 British GP ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri, after the team were able to fix up his hydraulic issue which hampered his running in FP1.
Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was third from Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg, who showed solid one-lap pace in the car to be ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. The Monegasque had couple of moments in the session, while pushing hard.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was seventh after the Dutchman elected to run out of sequence on the soft compound. The other Ferrari of Carlos Sainz was eighth from Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll, as Mercedes’ George Russell rounded out the Top 10.
The other Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso was 11th from Stake F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas, Williams’ Alexander Albon and the Alpine pair of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, with the lead Visa Cash App RB of Yuki Tsunoda only 16th.
The Japanese driver got most of his running after missing on FP1, as his teammate Daniel Ricciardo was only 19th behind Williams’ Logan Sargeant and Stake F1 Team’s Zhou Guanyu, with Haas’ Kevin Magnussen 20th after not getting a soft tyre run due to an off moment.
