Lando Norris was fastest in FP2 of F1 British GP ahead of the Ferrari pair of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in the Top 3.
It remained sunny in FP2 of F1 British GP at Silverstone, but gusty which made things tricky for the drivers. It was slightly better but not for Williams’ Carlos Sainz, who spun at Luffield and nearly crashed into Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton. He was noted for unsafe rejoin in front of Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg.
At the front, it was McLaren’s Lando Norris on top with a 1m25.186s lap on just one attempt. It took the Ferrari pair a couple of laps, where Hamilton aborted his first attempt. He was second but Charles Leclerc improved after him to displace him from second place.
McLaren’s Oscar Piastri was only fourth after a small mistake, as Red Bull’s Max Verstappen improved the second time to finish fifth ahead of Mercedes pair, who were segregated by Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll after the Canadian’s late push lap to be seventh.
It was Andrea Kimi Antonelli ahead in sixth, while George Russell was eighth from the Visa Cash App RB pair, who rounded out the Top 10. It was Isack Hadjar ahead of Liam Lawson, with Williams’ Alexander Albon missing out in 11th. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was 12th.
He had his protégé Gabriel Bortoleto in 13th in his Sauber ahead of Haas’ Esteban Ocon. Red Bull had Yuki Tsunoda back in the car in 15th from Sainz, who had another moment at Luffield towards the latter stages. Hulkenberg returned as well in the car to end up 17th.
A late lap from Alpine’s Pierre Gasly put him in 18th, as teammate Franco Colapinto was 20th behind Haas’ Oliver Bearamn, to round out the 20 runners.
