Sebastien Bourdais in the first and Scott Dixon in the second have dominated the first practices that have been held today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Will Power and Juan Pablo Montoya have had problems in the second freepractice but remained in the front positions.

In the first practice session, the fastest driver was Sebastien Bourdais with a time of 1: 10: 9378. The Frenchman was the only one to get off the 1:11 in the first practice session.

The second best time was for Will Power, after a not very good start of the season, he wants to achieve his first victory of the year here in Indianapolis.

The third place went to Scott Dixon, currently the third in the championship and just 13 points behind Juan Pablo Montoya.

Saavedra was fourth and the winner of this race last year, Simon Pagenaud fifth.

In sixth place we find the first Honda, the Japanese Takuma Sato, who has had a fairly disastrous start to the season.

Regarding to the second practice session at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway we have seen a good one, a little rough, in which Scott Dixon has set the best time with 1: 10.6971 leaving him a tenth and a half before two clear contenders, defending champion Will Power, and current championship leader Juan Pablo Montoya.

Both drivers have not had a clean session and caused the only two red flags. First Power, who has had a little scare when he went off track while later Montoya and Coletti have had a touch that has made them both stay out of track.

Bourdais and Castroneves have remained in the top five positions, showing candidacy for Saturday’s race. The top 10 was completed by Simon Pagenaud, Graham Rahal, Takuma Sato, Charlie Kimball and Sebastian Saavedra, first time into the car this season.

Tomorrow morning will take place the last free practice of the weekend.
