Bottas sets new lap record on day 6

Valtteri Bottas has been the fastest in morning session of Formula 1 pre-season testing at Barcelona circuit. The Finn was followed by Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen.

Mercedes today took the control of the timesheets with a new lap record of 1:19.420 set by Valtteri Bottas running super-soft tyres, after 70 laps in the Mercedes.

Felipe Massa the fastest yesterday, set the second fastest lap time driving with the ultra-soft tyres. Behind the Brazilian finished Kimi Räikkönen who only completed 39 laps but managed to finish only one second behind Bottas with soft compound, the same for Max Verstappen –fourth.

The Renault of Nico Hulkenberg and the Force India of Sergio Pérez under super-soft compound finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Completes the top10, Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso), Romain Grosjean (Haas), Pascal Wehrlein (Sauber) and Fernando Alonso (McLaren)¸ who only completed 27 laps, the driver who less drove this morning.
