Valtteri Bottas has denied speculations that his place at Cadillac Racing is at risk for the 2027 Formula 1 season. According to the Finnish driver, his relationship with the team is solid and his contract is “totally fine”.

Recently, Bottas has been the subject of rumors due to inconsistent performance in both qualifying and races. Only other names have been put forward, such as Esteban Ocon, who is fighting for a free seat after losing his place at Haas, or Colton Herta, the Cadillac test driver, despite his challenging season in Formula 2.

The team director, Marcin Budkowski, provided ambiguous answers in a recent press conference about who will occupy the team’s seats next season. He mentioned that he has received contacts from a large number of drivers, but refused to specify names.

Bottas, who has signed a multi-year contract, stated that he trusts the team will continue to count on him: “Last year, when I signed, I know the conditions, so everything is fine.” Regarding Budkowski’s statements, he expressed that he was not surprised, as he was not aware.

Moreover, when questioned about the security of his seat, Bottas humorously reflected on the possibilities of a change: “It’s Formula 1. If cows could fly, anything can happen in this sport. But for now, they seem happy with what I’m offering them and that’s what matters”.
