Bonifacio catches De Vries on the standings thanks a victory in Spa

Bruno Bonifacio wins his first race in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 on Race 2 in Spa-Francorchamps after start the race on fourth place. Thanks to this and the third place of De Vries in the race, Bonifacio and the Koiranen GP driver are tying on the standings. Race 1 winner of the weekend, Dennis Olsen completes a double for Prema.

On morning qualifying Nyck de Vries (Koiranen GP) had no rival once again to take his third pole position in the category. But during the race after keep the first position, Bonifacio (Prema Powerteam) who did a good start overtook the Dutch driver on Les Combes, and led until the end. 5 laps later, Olsen (Prema Powerteam) overtook the Koiranen GP driver in the same place.

The South African driver, Callan O’Keeffe (ART Junior Team) did a solid race and finished on fourth place, and Amweg (ART Junior Team) did the same as well.

French Formula 4 champion, Hubert (Tech 1 Racing) did a very nice comeback starting from P11 on the grid, taking the seven place on the start then he had a cool battle for that place with Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport) and after secure his seventh place, He attacks his teammate, Egor Orduzhev and up to sixth place taking this one until the end.

Orduzhev with the front wing damage after a crash on the start with Panis (ART Junior Team) down to final ninth place, after been overtook by Isaakyan (who finally finished on seventh place but he don’t get these points because He were driving as a wild card) and Villemi (Prema Powerteam) who also did a great comeback after start from P13 on the grid.

Pizzitola (Manor MP Motorsport) had a solid race on ten place and Parry (Fortec Motorsport) finally took the last point.

Now De Vries is leading the championship with 70 points, the same that have Bonifacio. Olsen is on a solid third place with 47 points.
